Cell lines in which IRF9 expression was targeted by using CRISPR/Cas9 technology were
prepared to establish a direct relationship between IRF9 deficiency and susceptibility to
virus infection. Impaired induction of ISGs after IFN-a treatment was noted in cells in which
IRF9 expression was reduced by 2 independent guide RNAs (Fig 2, A). IRF9 silencing
